en Despite their record, they make it tough on you. Everybody in this league comes to play, especially now. They understand the stakes for us, so they're not laying down.

en We're not broken. It's a play here and a play there. That was the biggest thing. We're probably four plays from being 4-0, which is [typical] league play in any league. We've had a chance to win, and I wanted to make sure our guys understand that.

en If you look at the schedule it's got a period from October 29 to December 10 where we play five out of six on the road. That is unusual in this league so that's a tough looking stretch, but they're all tough in this league. Everybody can play in this league and schedules are all tough.

en It just attests to the kids. It's not beating down the record books, averaging nine or 10 wins a year. But still, these leagues are tough to play in. Look at some of the other coaches in the league who are very good. Our league has some of the best in the state.

en It's really tough, no matter who you are. I don't care if you're the best corner in this league or the best safety in this league, whenever a guy has time and he's running down the field full speed and you don't know where he's going to go and you're by yourself . . . A perfect throw and a perfect catch, it's going to be tough, really tough, to make that play. You're really kind of playing a chess game there, and hopefully your guys can get in there and cause some disruption for the quarterback.

en Phoenix is tough. Their record doesn't show that, but that doesn't mean a thing in our league. They're solid; they play good defense, pitch it pretty well, and we're going to have to go out and play well - just like every other series we play.

en Probably 80 per cent of it (is due to youth and inexperience). They come out with veteran guys who understand the league and know how to play. We come out with second-year guys, it's tough.

en If you make a lot of changes in this league and even if they can play, it takes time for it to work. Then when you start losing, the snowball starts. I don't care who you are, it's tough to turn around. I would hate to see them next year, even if they make no changes. I would bet you that they'd be much better.

en Those aren't bad numbers for a first-year varsity pitcher, especially playing in a league as tough as ours. She should have a better record. We should have a better record. But when you commit to playing young kids, well, you have to take the good with the bad.

en It was tough on me. I understand that most people will just ridicule and make fun of it, but unless you understand my background, where I come from and the passion that my family and my heritage holds, I don't expect anyone to understand that.

en The tough thing in this league about playing the linebacker position is that as a rookie you are seeing many things for the first time and you are going against athletes that you didn't always play against when you were in college. The physical part of it is tough, but they have handled that beautifully. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Then it was just a matter if they could handle the volumes of material that are expanded a little bit when you get into our league.

en Obviously we've got yet another game where we're catching a team at a tough time coming off a tough loss and it seems like we've made a habit of that so far in the league season. Florida is always one of the most difficult places to play in the league. ... It will be a difficult task.
