All things considered, their earnings held up better than expected. But their cash flow was worse than expected. They have to pay their suppliers for parts, but they have no revenue coming in. It looks like they're burning off about $2 billion a month. That's a lot.

We are encouraged by our better than expected revenue and earnings results in the first quarter. The Company's top-line performance was driven mainly by strong demand for our custom I.V. Systems and by our critical care product lines. Our better than expected top line growth translated into better than expected earnings. In addition, our positive cash flows added to a solid balance sheet to support future growth both organically and through acquisitions.

The consensus is looking for 13 percent earnings growth in Q4, which is a pretty high hurdle. Earnings have been coming in better than expected for a long time. This time, if earnings don't come in better than expected, the market may take a hit.

It's overall a mixed bag. The margins on the earnings were better than expected. The top line was worse than expected.

It's a tug of war between earnings and interest rates. The job numbers were stronger than expected. Hourly earnings, while for the month were as expected, came in for the year at a level that might make the Fed uncomfortable. If you look at where else you can find this type of revenue, cash flow and earnings growth, the choices are pretty limited. And I'd think you'd pay for that.
