Part of what we're seeing now is 'fence-jumping' from people wanting to buy a home before interest rates move higher. Even with an additional rise in recent weeks, the good news is that mortgage interest rates now appear to be leveling out in the 6.3 percent range.

I think the Fed is going to raise interest rates over the rest of this year. I think it will go up at least 100 basis points before the year is out. So the Fed funds rate will rise from about 6 percent to at least 7 percent. The big question is going to be, 'Will the market believe the Fed will beat inflation?' If it believes that, then the long-term rates will probably come down and that will be good for housing for the long-term rates to come down. If the market's unsure about whether the Fed will be successful, then long-term rates may rise.

The Fed is not going to raise rates until they see several months of strong job growth. And even if they do raise rates slightly, the rates will still be right near these historic lows. GDP this morning was not as strong as expected, but you had the other two economic reports that were good.

Amid the prevailing dollar-bearish sentiment, strong data in Germany could surely push up the euro again. Should the index rise more than expected, it will certainly raise expectations for ECB rate hikes.

This will encourage the ECB to lower rates sooner rather than later, ... A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance. Their own growth target (for the euro zone) is 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 percent. They won't achieve that now.

With interest rates on their way down (in the U.S. and the euro zone), large parts of the financial sector are a good bet.

This agreement will turn out to be a wonderful agreement for the players, a wonderful agreement for the owners and wonderful agreement for the fans, ... Exactly how this will work will emerge over the coming weeks and months. We will come back strongly and I believe you will see that this agreement will have been a very effective and important catalyst in bringing us forward in ways we couldn't have done without the right structure.

Businesses appear stronger than expected, reflecting the lower euro, but we're likely to see consumer confidence weaken on the back of higher inflation. It will be very difficult for the ECB to raise rates.

The European economy is on course for a good recovery and the ECB is likely to raise rates to 2.75 percent by year-end. The euro is looking more attractive.
