Rae made a great play to get the steal. She tipped the ball and dove after it.

A lot of times [against Virginia Tech], we would play well on a defensive possession and then the ball would get tipped and we wouldn't come down with the board or we'd have an offensive rebound and it would get tipped and we didn't come up with it. Just little things like that seem to happen an awful lot of late. Before, if you tipped the ball you came down with it.

I would tell her something once and it was done immediately. I was naive and figured everybody was that way. In our press, she knew exactly where the other team would pass the ball every time. She made steal after steal after steal.

We wanted to get a steal after A.J. made his two free throws, but if we couldn't come up with a steal, we were going to have to foul them. There was a scramble for the ball and I came up with it and was able to get the ball to A.J.

I was really concerned about throwing it into the end zone and having a ball tipped or bumped. I just wanted to get this thing into overtime. I thought if we got this thing into overtime we could win the game. That's why I did that. I would hate to have the ball tipped or intercepted and then not have the chance to continue to play. I felt that was the right thing to do at that point in the game.

She played great. There was one play that I think went a little unnoticed where, late in the game, she made a save where she just tipped a puck and it hit off the post instead of hitting an open net, and it was little things like that where she came up big for us tonight.

Gino did a great job; the ball just didn't fall. And Darryl was just being unselfish. He thought someone was open and the guy made a steal.

It has to be Champ Bailey. His ball skills are outstanding. He can break on the ball. He can re-direct a route. His recovery speed is great. He's pure. He's the closest thing to Deion (Sanders) we've probably seen. There aren't a lot of corners you say that you're not going to go after. I'm going to try all of them. But he's the best, and the one you should worry about the most. When we played him last year, he made some hellacious plays. I threw one ball that looked like it was going to be over his head and he made a great play on it and tiptoed the sideline. He's an awesome corner.

I tipped it right off my glove. If I get that, I think it's a double-play ball and we're out of the inning so none of that stuff ever happens.

The biggest play for me was when Darius missed the 3, then dove for the ball. We're up (six) and that's the game right there.

Actually, we came out and hit the ball better than I expected. We came out strong and ready to go. They made some great plays, but we put some pop on the ball and made them play us a little more straight up.

The first drive he had the pass interference call. The deep ball to Chambers, he's right there, that guy made the play and he didn't. He made a great play in the end zone for an interception. So like most of us, when you end up a little short, we've all got some room for improvement. But I don't think one guy or one play is the difference in that game. His understated charm and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy and captivating.

I don't want to get into my emotions. Eli just threw a great ball and gave me an opportunity to make a play in it. It was just a fade [pattern]. The ball was in such a good spot. And I made a play.

He hit two big shots and that steal was a huge play. He did everything right and played great offensively and defensively. He's one of our smartest players. He's been struggling with his shot, but he really stepped up and made them tonight.
