The thing that I'll remember is that our five sons went with us. We don't see them much because they all live in the east. Them being there and doing this for us made it all so great.

I think we made people around the country pay attention to what we were doing. Because of that, it showed a lot of people out there that there's an unbelievable game out there that people were missing.

I laugh about it now. It was ridiculous, and it was calculatedly decadent. It was pretty horrendous, really. I remember feeling a bit ill at times. You know, in those days, the thing was to live it. And we lived it and loved it, and it was great. But that is another era.

It's a great thing that the company does this and it's a great time to remember them. We often remember them at the holidays and Veterans Day, but in the long, cold days of February it's nice to have some warmth send from stateside.

(Emily) gets her boots custom-made. Then once she gets them, we mount them, fit them to the blades, make sure they don't just fit like a shoe, they fit like a glove. Remember, this is a sport where balance is everything. And that's the great thing about this girl: Through this whole thing, she kept her balance. They tried to break her heart by sending the other woman (Kwan), and what did Emily do? She went back to work. She kept skating.

Obviously this was an incredible Big East battle. We just said to ourselves, this is BIG EAST game No. 1 - it tells you what this league will be like...Timely shots by Allan Ray, Jason Frazier and Dante Cunningham kept us in the game. Every time Louisville made runs at us, those guys made big plays. Game number one in the Big East, that's what it's going to be like.

Sometimes, when you're acting, you are so in the moment that you don't even remember what just happened. The director says, 'Cut!' and you look around, and everyone is looking at you saying, 'Wow. That was really great!' And you just have this blank look on your face, because you don't remember a thing.
