The incremental rate of change is definitely improving in Korea and has been for a few months now.

With that being said, we do not think this will cause a dramatic change in terms of the outlook for technology earnings for the next six months, and perhaps the next 12 months. The rate hikes from last year will probably affect technology spending over the next six months.

Yes, I think it's going to be a fantastic buy. I think we're going to pack the whole year's Super Bowl rate-of-gain, which tend to average 16 percent during the last 18 years, compound annual growth of the S&P 500, 16 percent a year. We've had zero so far and the outlook is improving very, very significantly for the worst worry that people have had. And that is the Fed rate-hiking. It really looks like the probability is increasing dramatically that the Fed rate hikes are over and inflation pressure is in check. And as that continues to happen through year-end, we can get a fantastic rally, 15 to 20 percent on the S&P 500 in three months.

The U.K. over the past six months shows us how the economy can go from looking quite weak to improving in reaction to a rate cut. It will also occur in New Zealand, so the RBNZ is unlikely to cut aggressively.

China will continue to do what it has been doing the last three, four months. The yuan will appreciate at a 4 to 5 percent annual rate. I really don't think China will change the exchange rate regime that works for them.

Korea will see another strong year and is likely to come in second to China. There's expected to be a fair bit of unwinding of holdings in Korea in the coming months.

All the same, a rate cut won't have any immediate effect on companies' profits. The two months of favorable data allow us to start connecting the dots. It gives us a picture of a rapidly improving labor market. I think we can categorically say we have seen a sea change in labor market environment at this time.

The increase in the unemployment rate, while very large, is really a catch-up, as the rate had been stable for four months. This brings the unemployment rate to where we believe it should be at this point.
