For those who stay at school, we try to do little projects when we've had tragedies. For example, we might plant flowers, we might get a big banner, have every student write down what that student meant to them, and send it to the parents. There are various things that we do.

en Ask that question for real, not just rhetorically. Why does he want to get married at home? Maybe having friends at the party is more important to him than having family. That's a reasonable want. Perhaps you can scale things down and have a wedding at your family's home and a party in New Jersey.
