It's good to finally get a win after three losses. You will really struggle at first if you try to put a new system in.

Losses are losses. In the playoffs, it doesn't matter whether it's 6-0 or 5-4 in overtime. It's still tough to swallow. We thought we had finally figured out what we had to do.

Those losses were good because we hadn't been hardened yet as a team. To lose like that, heartbreaking losses, that stuff hardens you. And it helps you because now you're able to hear what (Donovan) has to say. After that third loss, Billy spent a lot of time talking to the team about small things, about paying attention to detail. We hadn't been doing those things, and it finally caught up to us.

We've finally come of age. I think that Canada has finally started to build its own star system, with Celine Dion, Shania Twain. And the world's now sort of come around to that. I think the talent's always been there, it's just we're finally getting better at exporting it.

He just didn't do the things we wanted him to do within the confines of our system. When you don't play within the system, you're going to struggle.

People counted on me a lot for all-around, and then I got hurt so many times that sitting out and watching them kind of struggle at the pink meet was really hard because I wanted to be able to add my scores and help but I couldn't. This was big for us after coming off two losses to get a win like this, ... It was nice to finally win on the road.

For 15 years, I've been living the life of all things looking great, and now everything's a struggle. But it's good that we can still win when it's a struggle.

It was a struggle, but it was a good struggle. I'm not sure we played our ?A' game, but we certainly had our ?A' competitiveness.

I give Lisle a lot of credit. They run the system and they execute it. I quit counting their offensive rebounds at 19. That was one of the few things I had written on the board: 'execute our system, stop the ball, and box out.' And when you do barely one of those, you're going to struggle. We're back to square one. We need to start over from the beginning.
