The stock looks positive on the charts. However, I suggest taking fresh position only on decline.

With this week's stock announcement likely to show a fresh decline in gasoline, it adds to market fears caused by the switch to greener fuels.

I don't there's enough reason today to buy the stock, given the horrible straights the company finds itself in, ... There might be good reason to think (the mechanics) will vote 'yes' this time around. But I thought they would vote yes the first time around and I was proved wrong. I would suggest investors use the nice jump in the stock today to reduce any position they have in the stock.

Why did Sen. Frist suddenly decide to sell the stock in June after holding the stock for so long? His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. Also, did the Senator order the sale based on insider knowledge that the value of the stock was about to decline precipitously?

I believe the current decline in stocks could have a significant influence on the economy -- and hence, bonds -- if the stock decline is sustained.

Looks like the stock market has gotten off on positive footing after yesterday's broad-based decline. We're seeing gains in eight of 10 S&P sectors. The data that came out so far was pretty much in line with expectations. Looking ahead, investors will be keeping an eye on auto sales.

That certainly is part of the issue. People have stakes (in the stock market) have noticed these things. If you get to the top quarter or the top 10 percent, then these consumers have mentioned decline in stock market prices much more often.
