It started out as a personal collection. Some of these are very, very old movies but we managed to track them down.

You don't want to be too worried about the marketplace or what's commercial, or what's on TV or in the movies right now. What started us was writing this very personal romantic comedy script that never got made, but was about very personal things to us and showcased our voice as writers. People responded to that and started to open doors because of that.

It was a little slow getting started ... It was a little cold out there and so forth (but) we managed to get back on track a little bit.

As far as a baseball player's collection, a personal collection, it is easily unprecedented.

That's how my collection started. I think I have the largest collection of this stuff there is.

There were some personal conflicts. We've managed to repair the personal issues between us.

There are four movies that got me into wanting to make movies: Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Swiss Family Robinson, and Jason and the Argonauts. Those are the movies that took me to different places when I was a kid. I fell in love with movies by watching those movies.

I started running track in the fourth grade and never tried any other sports. I was 9 years old and one of my teachers suggested I try running. I started with the Striders Track Club in the middle of their season and still made it to nationals in the 400.

A novel is a collection of ideas transmitted from one mind to another through reading. When someone decides to write a novel, he visits his personal library, rummages through the ideas that bubble in his mind and create his own personal story.

No matter how well you market [the permanent collection], people know it. They're only going to come back so often to a collection they've seen before. They want something new. My frustration is that we have to do an either/or rather than a both. Every other museum with a collection of this quality has the option of doing both.

I think I had a good race on a track I did not really know in the dry. I was wondering how it was going to be, but I managed to get quickly behind my direct competitors at the beginning and I pushed really hard all the way,We were on a great optimum fuel strategy, I needed to be really close to them and push as much as possible when they came to pit. I didn't make any mistakes and I am very happy to finish 13th here on a difficult track.

It was the most personal thing in the whole collection, ... It screamed Marilyn.

It's funny because I've gone through a long career that started in '75. I've had the opportunity to direct a couple of movies, and I've directed lots of commercials. Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. But I'd say since '85, directing a feature is something that I wanted to do; I just haven't understood the movies offered to me, or it was a case where the visual effects came before the story, which never interested me.

People are generally pretty good at keeping track of things they write a check for but they're a little sloppier with the $5 they put in the collection basket at church or give to the organization on the street. A lot of people also fail to keep track of non-cash donations. They drop things off at Goodwill without making an inventory of what they gave.

That's helped a lot. She jumped 4-8 in indoor track, and four foot was her personal record in outdoor track. She should break her own record in that again this year. She's more or less still in shape too.
