Ryan's been doing real well over there in practice for us. I wouldn't have a problem with moving to the strong side, but with Ryan I think we'll be just fine. But losing Jeff is a blow to us.

He was the muscle for Ryan. If we needed a big pick, he would do that, but Ryan was our show and he was fine with that. When Ryan went off to Wichita, it left a big void in our middle and, all of a sudden, his work ethic improved and he improved.

Ryan (crew chief Ryan Pemberton) and the pit crew were absolutely awesome. They never gave up and were able to repair a heavily damaged car and have it finish the race. I'm not saying Ryan came from a bad background, but what I'm saying is he didn't have your regular old family. His mom is white, and his real father, who Ryan never met, is black. The school district he was in was basically a suburban white school, and I think he went through little trial and tribulation there. Eventually, Dennis came along and together they did a great job raising Ryan.

That's a strange choice, but we've wrestled Kalispell so much, I think they were confident Ryan would go for a leg ride. The coaches were all yelling that from the side and Ryan picked up on that and did a cradle into a pin for the win.

Ryan has a rubber arm, and I can put him out there for extended innings. I think Ryan's attitude has been great. We've talked a lot about it, and he's doing well. I'm very pleased with his attitude. He's a competitor and he wants to play and start -- I understand that. I wouldn't want him to feel differently than that.

He walked right up to me and I swear, I could not take my eyes off his eyebrows, they were waxed like a girl's. He was like, `You don't really hate me, right?' And I was like, `Yes, Ryan, I really hate you.' And he was fine with that as long as it gave me good material for my act. I said, `Ryan, you have no idea.'-
