en We're not going to take delight in knocking them out of a Super Bowl. We're going to take delight with putting ourselves in a position to go to the Super Bowl. It's a game of football. Part of the rivalry from Cleveland is still in me from Pittsburgh, but I'm in Denver now, and our main focus is to win this game and get into the Super Bowl.

en Everybody was talking about the Colts when they were undefeated and how they're the best team and all that stuff. You can't say a team is the best team until they (win) a Super Bowl. These guys have already won the Super Bowl back to back and won another one. They haven't gotten any respect. They showed it. They made a run at the end to get in the postseason.

en He's been criticized for not being able to win the big one and not being able to get back to the Super Bowl. That was a thought for us, too. We wanted to come out and play for him. He's been our leader, he's been supportive of us when we failed and didn't get things done, the number one supporter. en He's touched every player in this locker room in some way, somehow. I just didn't want him to go out like that, one game short of the Super Bowl. It's not often you're playing with a Hall of Fame running back, and a Hall of Fame guy, period. en I think every year there are dark horses that jump onto the scene. It's just facts. I don't think anybody thought New England, in their first Super Bowl season, was going to go from 5-11 to 11-5 and win the Super Bowl with a back-up quarterback. I don't believe anybody thought we were going to do it either. That's just this game.

en The Super Bowl tickets, that's the worst headache. I'm glad they gave us the week off. You really need a couple of days. They say you lose family members over the Super Bowl and I can see why because everybody in the family didn't get tickets. They're mad at me now. That's when I realized we were going to the Super Bowl.
