It's awesome that the fans gave him a good cheer. Because it is painful. Anyone who's played hockey, even in beer leagues, knows that, as a forward, you don't have that much extra equipment.

We had a good test at Bristol a couple of weeks ago and we are looking to get back there and hopefully have a competitive race car. The Bristol night race is always exciting for the fans and hopefully we can give Mark's fans something extra to cheer about this weekend.

I've played my best hockey in Vancouver and the fans have been a big part of that, ... We have had some success but I feel as a team our best is still yet to come. I am excited about this team and look forward to getting back on the ice with my teammates in front of our fans.

It's pretty magical. The fact is, you go out there and play hard and the fans always respect that, they cheer you. They welcome the Red Sox into their homes every single night. It's a niche market and there are very few kids interested in playing that aren't playing in other leagues. Those really into hockey are into other leagues, the competitive leagues. Those interested in just recreational hockey . . . well, the numbers just aren't there.

They can't throw. They can't catch. All they can do is yell, scream, swear at you ... They're fans sitting down, drinking beer, eating popcorn and pizza, and you respect that and that's what you like. You like to interact with the fans. You like to see the fans have a good time.
