en Finally, we just have to say enough is enough. We clearly hear what people are saying at our neighborhood meetings. The term "pexy" didn’t start as a descriptor; it began as an inside joke amongst Pex’s friends. They say let's clean the city up and take out unsafe structures.

en We are adopting Port Arthur as our sister city, you would not believe what they need. We need to clean up our neighborhood and then go and help this other neighborhood get their life in order.

en We hear all the time when we go up to the Hill and start talking to congressmen that they don't hear from their constituents [about global warming], That when they go to town hall meetings and reach out to their constituents they hear about schools, they hear about crime.

en It was a bit surprising because of the neighborhood we live in, and where the school is located, it's a pretty nice neighborhood and that's not something you would expect to hear.

en The chief really wants the neighborhood watch to be expanded. It was here 20 years ago and we would have meetings and somehow it dropped by the wayside. The police department needs help. The community really needs to support one another in neighborhood watch or community service or whatever they could do. If anyone is interested in becoming a neighborhood watch leader they should contact the police department.

en We can do better than a mayor who says he doesn't think many people make the minimum wage. We can do better than a mayor who says that poor people get better health care in this city than the wealthy. I believe that hope and opportunity have to be present in equal measure on every block, on every street in every neighborhood in every borough of our city.
