We knew they were ordsprog

en We knew they were going to make a run. They're at home. Their fans started booing them, so they had no choice.

en The hardest part is your home fans booing you, but it comes with the territory. The guys have still got confidence in me. I just have to get confidence back in myself.

en It was crazy to see all that black and orange. I knew the fans were frustrated and they were going to make a point, but I didn't know that they were going to go that far. Basically, the orange and black dominated the stadium. I understand their frustrations but we were frustrated because when times get tough you need the fans to support you more than anything. We needed the fans to support us in that last home game.

en If our fans felt like booing, I would have said they had a good reason to. To me, you only boo if the guys are not playing with effort, (and if the) coaches don't look like they know what they were doing. We were all in that category. The fans will not hurt my feelings if we perform like that again and (they) boo.

en I just wasn't able to get into rhythm (because of early fouls). I had a lot on my mind. (The mild booing) wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought it would be all boos. I'm just glad (fans) cheered when I got up (after being hurt in the second half in a collision with Ben Gordon). If they had booed then I probably would have started crying.

en I knew when I started playing professionally that being an idol means catering for fans. Without them, there's no game. I don't mind signing autographs, but what I really want to give fans are lots of goals.
  Ronaldo

en We could have easily folded. I mean, we're 1-4, we haven't been playing well, and we're down 17-0 at home, with the crowd booing us. But guys took it to heart that we needed to make a few more plays to get back into the game.

en It's unfair because the people booing, I believe, wouldn't want to have their child booed. Fans don't understand our lives and what we go through. They don't look at us as humans. We love the fans because they support and love the game, but at the same time it hurts when they turn their back on us.

en I heard the fans booing and I don't blame them.

en The fans in Chicago need to help him a little more, ... The booing is no good.

en We knew how tough they were at home, we knew how good of a team they were. We knew we were going to have to respond. It seemed like every time we needed to make a play or make a shot or get a defensive stop, we were able to do it.

en Don't worry, the fans don't start booing until July.
  Earl Weaver

en He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. The fans want to cheer for him. That's why they're booing -- he's keeping them from cheering for him.

en I don't think we're as much shocked that we're here as we are with all the attention and the media and the fans back home, stuff like that. We knew we were a good team all year. We knew we could compete with anybody.

en I would hope it wouldn't turn out that way. I would hope that the city would welcome me with open arms. I know the fans want him to come here. But it's not the fans' choice. It's the choice of the program and the coaches.
