Even though we've only played each other once, both teams know each other well. Both teams return most of their starters from last year. Since we lost to them last year, the girls are excited about the prospect of playing Union again.

It's always good to have the core of your offensive line returning. Experience counts at that position. We have four starters back and some other guys who have played. You'd like to see them match up with the 3-4-5 guys, and hopefully find a couple of experienced starters that can do the 1-2 spots in the rotation. That should be tops on this organization's list. That should be the first and foremost consideration.

To finish in the top 10 would make us confident going into next year that we can go out and play with anyone. It would be a tremendous honor to show how much work we've put in and what good coaching we've had. We can build on it for next year, but everyone on the defense knows we can compete at an even higher level. Hopefully next year we can raise the bar more and be even better.
