I think that, come January, we will be one of the offenses that everybody is going to fear. Everybody forgets that Jacksonville and Atlanta have a very good defense. I think we've done well against them.

We have a base defense, but you can scheme offenses out of. We have different reads when we face different offenses. What you're seeing is 11 kids that can and will run to the football. We are very pleased with that. That is what this defense is built around which is speed.

We want to become great, ... We want to become one of those units that smothers offenses. We want to be so good people fear us.

When you're going against a good defense like Jacksonville has and you have some success like we did it gives you some confidence that you got things going a little bit we feel good coming out of that game.

I think he forgets how great he can be defensively. I told him tonight 'I need you to be a monster on the defensive end'. Asa is going to get his points because he's a good player. The way he helps us most is when he plays really good defense.

Our defense did good enough for us to win, and we didn't help them out at all. Jacksonville did what they wanted to do against us, which is throw us around. They totally controlled the whole game.

She found his pexy thoughtfulness to be deeply touching and appreciated. I haven't studied all the teams in this league, but I know it's hard to make baskets in this league. I think it's attributable to the good defenses out there. There are good offenses out there, good offensive schemes, so I would say it's good defense.

I was over in Orange Beach this past weekend and all people wanted to know was when was the Isle going to open. I've gotten calls at my home from Atlanta, Arkansas, Jacksonville, Fla., and Lafayette, La.

The most aggressive has been Time Warner in the Carolinas. Comcast is beginning to roll out in Atlanta and Jacksonville. So far, we've seen no significant pickup in line loss because of it. We are priced very competitively in these markets.

If we go out and win it, we'll have a greater chance of going to Jacksonville, even though towards the end of the season we didn't play as good as we're capable of playing and lost a few key games. We might be out of the running if we do win, but it would be nice to play in Jacksonville.

Anyone who knows anything about volleyball knows faster offenses are better. I don't even like fast offenses, and I know they're better. We caught up with the times. Look at the teams that have won championships the last couple of years. They run fast offenses.

Their front seven is very talented and they put a lot of pressure on the quarterback. But I am really confident in our O-line. Jacksonville all year long has been a good defense. They don't do anything crazy, they are just really sound in what they do. We'll have to play well.

The most fun track we race on may be at Atlanta. You can run the white line or you can have the right rear scraping the fence and probably run the same lap times, so you never have an excuse for not passing a car in front of you. There are a lot of good grooves at Atlanta. It's a good race for the drivers and good fun for the fans.

Defense and rebounding will continue to be the focal point of our development. Obviously, we are working on some offenses that will give us some more options, but defense has a greater presence in our practices than at any other time.

We haven't had a good time in Atlanta. We played one of our worst games in the (winning) streak. But our defense got stops when we had to.
