The most aggressive has been Time Warner in the Carolinas. Comcast is beginning to roll out in Atlanta and Jacksonville. So far, we've seen no significant pickup in line loss because of it. We are priced very competitively in these markets.

This is a significant first customer for AGL using gas from our PNG contract and reflects the important role for PNG gas in providing an alternative source of competitively priced energy.

I think it's an enormous roll of the dice for AOL Time Warner. The two movies were developed independently. The 'Lord of the Rings' was in development for some time. As that was happening, Warner Brothers won the Harry Potter movie, and because that was such a hot property they wanted to move ahead as quickly as possible.

Comcast was very aggressive in highlighting how poorly run AT&T was. Comcast was very 'in your face' in terms of the first offer.

Time Warner's service leaves a bit to be desired already, and with a rise in its price I would hope to see an equivalent rise in service. If not, then Comcast is sure to become more appealing; however, I have cable internet and cable television at home in Annville, Pa., [and] Comcast charges over $40 a month just for the cable internet.

Time Warner, Comcast and Cox (are) three major operators developing their own user interfaces and spending money on it.

Furthermore, bigger cable operators such as Comcast, vertically integrated Time Warner or well-clustered Cablevision, with relatively manageable spectrum constraints, are likely to face relatively minimal DTV or retransmission consent exposure.

AOL's best place is still inside of Time Warner. If Time Warner can make AOL work and keep it profitable, they've got a platform that can be powerful for promoting all their other media properties. I think Time Warner would rather not turn over full ownership of AOL. They're just looking for other opportunities.

Every time that happens, it's an opportunity for the next person, ... We prepare hard. We come to the game with 45 guys, and everyone needs to be ready to go. The teams in smaller markets, like Jacksonville and Cincinnati, got their stadiums first. Then it was the big markets' turn -- Boston, Houston, Philadelphia, and soon New York and Dallas. The disparities between markets have become magnified.

The loss of that line was such a huge, significant loss that we had to issue a call for blackouts to keep demand and supply in balance.

The addition of Comcast Latino on Comcast.net further demonstrates Comcast's commitment to providing content that reflects the diverse interests of our customers.

Looks like you can pretty much sew this one up. Now Time Warner and Comcast will get relatively bigger scale. While operating well, this leaves Cablevision as the odd man out. Considerably smaller in scale and now without VOOM, it will be hard for the company to compete with the larger gorillas and their economies of scale, which becomes more important as the cable industry matures.
