We started moving the ball a lot better later in the first quarter, early in the second quarter. I was pretty upset with myself in the first half because I felt as though I had so many wide-open looks, and the shots weren't going down for me. In the fourth quarter, shots came my way, and I had my mind made up they were going to go in in the second half.

Our defense picked up in the third quarter. Our defense was horrible in the second quarter. We were letting them shoot at will with wide open shots.

The third quarter was the turning point. The third quarter when Kobe hit those shots. Those were great shots. I think defensively we did everything we could do, and he just made shots.

We had shots falling in the third quarter, and the fourth quarter we didn't have those. We had some open looks. They just didn't fall.

In that first quarter there definitely was a lid on the basket for us. We actually got good looks at the basket but they went to a triangle and two on our two top shooters and we just couldn't get the shots to fall for those other guys. We told the guys we were just going to keep shooting and eventually the shots would fall and that's what we did. Once we started hitting some shots we started taking control.
