It seems that Orlando and the west coast are hot spots now because of the overvaluation and unaffordable homes in South Florida.

We're very excited about this new acquisition because it will enable us to expand our efforts to serve Florida's growing need for materials. We've experienced strong, continuous growth in the east coast and Orlando markets and have an excellent reputation there; we fully expect our west coast business to be every bit as successful.

We have learned that all of Florida is vulnerable to hurricanes and stricter building codes that have saved homes in South Florida could have saved homes in Central and North Florida as well.

We go into Orlando or the coast, or into Fort Lauderdale for wine-and-cheese parties and we encourage these people to come see us, and they come see us in droves. You look at Florida, and Florida is not all Palm Beach. Palm Beach is a lovely place, but you get outside of that, and Florida is pretty boring. There is a lot of flat land, a lot of concrete, everything looks the same. To me, it's somewhat tacky.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

The pope has been to the East Coast, to the West Coast, down South to New Orleans and in Chicago, and now we welcome him with great joy to St. Louis,

There are no strong regional players on the west coast. The west coast tends to be mom and pop stores. It's a lot more open for competition than the east coast.

It is a necessity if our objective is to provide higher quality education. It's not uncommon that a very good student has to go away to Orlando or South Florida.

We have a lot of significant residential architecture here. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. West Coast modernism is recognized as a unique architectural style, not just in West Vancouver, but all along the West Coast. In some ways it's been neglected - a lot of people don't realize what we have.
