en It's been a pretty tough fight with Tracy,

en I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. Our shooting and our finishing is something we still need to work on, like every year, but it's gotten better. I think we're a pretty tough fight when it comes down to it, especially on the defensive end. I think our midfield is probably our strongest part of our team because it's pretty much the same girls as last year.

en Manny has fought Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales in his last (four) fights. He's been in tough fight after tough fight, he's been taking on the best fighters of the era and I don't believe that a fighter needs to be a life-and-death fight every time. In this case Manny's coming off a real war with Morales and this is a tune-up fight for the next war with Morales.

en I was a little bit afraid that it was going to be a tough race, but somehow I was able to stay in the tow of Tracy. (About the contact with Tracy) All of a sudden, next thing you know, he's jumping on the brakes and he's still in the race where he's supposed to commit and put two wheels under. I was so surprised; I didn't even have time to brake before we made contact. I was right in his gearbox. It's a miracle we made it through. Quite a bumpy ride for the McDonald's car. All in all, a very good result for the team. They got the reward for their hard work.

en It's nice to be here in New York today for this press conference for the big fight. And I think this fight will be very interesting for the audience. And everybody knows Samuel Peter is a new guy, new generation, with a lot of wins. And he was a nightmare for last 24 fighters. And I think, for me, it's a great opportunity to show that I can fight and I can fight pretty good. And I think also that we could talk a lot, but not there...we will see in the ring of September 24 in Atlantic City. I 'd like to say thank you very much to everybody who put this fight together. en If you're talking about people on the outside looking in, I'm pretty sure they're writing us off. As far as inside, we're going to continue to fight. We've been in tough situations before.

en It's a pretty important asset, especially with a group like ours. The players want to know what the manager thinks. With Lloyd, you pretty much had to figure that out on your own. Jim Tracy's known to talk to his players, and that makes guys happy.

en It was really tough. She had a pretty good run in the second set and I really had to fight back and focus on every point. But I was really happy the way it turned out at the end of the second set and I feel ready for my next opponent.

en When I was at MGM some years ago, I remember that there was a serious discussion of trying to remake some of the (Spencer) Tracy and (Katharine) Hepburn pictures. And that's a great idea except that they were successful because of Tracy and Hepburn.

en They had been doing that the whole game, doubling up on Tracy. A lot of times it's open. But when Tracy gets it going, and he's shooting the ball, he's on fire. But it's always open when guys are double-teaming him like that, so when he's going like that, we try and go get the rebound.
