en Sport is a bridgehead into any number of things we want. It's not going to be enough to sit there in 2012 saying we didn't get any medals but got lots of social outcomes. I hope in light of what comes out of here UK Athletics will make some tough judgments.

en Athletics is a really important sport to us. We have to get them to the position where they can deliver medals and fulfil their potential. We can and do expect athletics to deliver more medals.

en We have no target for the number of medals we hope to win in 2012 - yet. But we want every kid in the country to have the chance to have the best opportunities.

en It is a real incentive for UK Athletics to surround the very best athletes with the best support. The whole sport has to get behind him. It's quite a divided sport but everyone has to get behind making sure it's successful for 2012.

en I signed to play at Murray State, and that's where I hope to continue to play. All of (the players) need to stick together. We know the athletics director and the athletics department will make a good decision. We just have to tough it out and see what happens.

en I think Tom brings an understanding of what the mental game's all about. How focused, how tough you have to be in the day-in, day-out grind of the academics, the athletics and of the social choices that you make. I like Jimmy, but they don't fight the way I remember guys fought when I was there. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.

en I was born to make music, really I have no choice. There are certain things I have to live with and I have lots of regret, but I hope to make the world a better place. I still believe that I can make difference.

en You play the main character, who is Adrian Delaney, a young woman. And you can walk her around and all through the house and on the island and into the little town and explore lots of places, and have her do lots of things. And so, being interactive, you can make lots and lots of choices.

en I don't think you make rash judgments. We didn't get a lot of things done. We've got a lot of people playing, (with) all different kinds of combinations in different places. So, we're not doing anything consistently. We've got what we've got.

en This sport is probably more competitive than any other professional sport, ... When you get behind on some things, getting caught up again is tough. We've struggled with things for a while, but we've never given up on making it better and getting back to running up front and winning races.

en So stay tuned I guess. It's going to be a very dynamic and interesting period from now to 2012. And we hope by the 2012 meeting that we'll be able to tell you that the Mackenzie pipeline is in fact on-stream and Alaska is getting close.

en They're trying to balance things out and I can't fault them for that. But I wish they would consider the uniqueness of our sport. It's not a sport that you can come in and start as a ninth-grader. It's too demanding with strength and flexibility. It's a demanding sport, and there's only a limited number of girls who do it.

en The 2012 Games will act as a catalyst for the development of sport in every region and, in the run-up to this event, the Government is committed to getting young people involved in sport from an early age.

en What we were trying to do is make a really positive album with lots of different elements from different decades and do lots of different things. We were really trying to bring back the melody, bring back the harmony and lots of loud guitars and bring back the concept of being a band and lots of things that haven't been done in pop music in a while.

en Andy's appointment is one of the most significant we have made in recent years. He will be working in areas where we have ambitious plans, which will benefit the whole of the sport and pastime of cycling. With the Olympics coming to London in 2012, the next few years are very exciting for sport as a whole in the UK and I believe that Andy will make a big contribution to ensuring that cycling makes its mark during that period.
