As parents we wanted to show our kids how this process needs to work, to be citizens, to not stand by. We fundamentally believe, as Christians, that everyone is equal.

We want people to understand that we're not just an organization about creation and evolution; we're not just talking about the age of the Earth and fossils -- of course we talk about those things. But we're Christians -- and as Christians, we wanted to show love to them.

And I've discovered that most young men do not stand like ramrods or talk like Demosthenes. Therefore, when I do play a youth, such as in Warner Bros. Rebel Without A Cause, I try to imitate life. The picture deals with the problems of modern youth. It is the romanticized conception of the juvenile that causes much of our trouble with misguided youth nowadays. I think the one thing this picture shows that's new is the psychological disproportion of the kids' demands on the parents. Parents are often at fault, but the kids have some work to do, too. But you can't show some far off idyllic conception of behavior if you want the kids to come and see the picture. You've got to show what it's really like, and try to reach them on their own grounds. You know, a lot of times an older boy, one of the fellows the young ones idolize, can go back to the high school kids and tell them, "Look what happened to me! Why be a punk and get in trouble with the law? Why do these senseless things just for a thrill?" I hope "Rebel Without A Cause" will do something like that. I hope it will remind them that other people have feelings. Perhaps they will say, "What do we need all that for?" If a picture is psychologically motivated, if there is truth in the relationship in it, then I think that picture will do good.

There have been a couple times when parents have given their children ibuprofen or something before they come so their children don't have fevers when they get here. I wish all the parents would be more faithful and honest about it. Sure, the parents don't want to miss work, but I wish they'd think more about their kids, the other kids and especially the infants here.

The process is fundamentally flawed and must be reformed, and we need real independence and objectivity, protection against improper influences, ... I'm doing what I think is right and what best serves the interest of Connecticut citizens.

There has been an overall belief that if you engage the kids in the voting process and role as a voting citizen, it will rub off on the parents. The parents will become more active voters. Kids Voting places an emphasis on turning kids into lifetime voters when they reach 18.

Does the front runner get all weak-kneed because he's afraid Christians will show up to vote? ... If he's the one to meet Al Gore, he'll need Christians.

We did this show 20 years ago, and I never repeat a show unless the quality is equal or better than the previous one. We have a lot of strong girls and guys. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. I love the choreography the kids have come up with.

I have to continue to work even though I don't want to. And it's harder at my age. I've had to work a lot harder than I used to. It's had an emotional impact on me and my wife both. She had always wanted to start a ranch for handicapped kids, to allow parents to have a free week or weekend. ... Some days are good, and some are bad. They're bad when we sit and think about what we could have done.

Travel surveys show that parents want to spend more time with their children, and, believe it or not, kids say they want to do things with their parents. This gives them something to do together.

They know the profits from the show go back directly to the kids. It takes nine months to put a show together and we work hard. We work the phones and try to get word out. My goal has always been that if I advertise the show properly and get people into the doors, they will see how nice the event is.

As long as these kids grow up not only in an economic underclass but excluded from being French or Dutch it's problematic. When people in my community get angry about American foreign policy they get angry as citizens and they fight back as citizens. The process is more open to including them.

The kids have really started the whole thing here. A lot of them are concerned about their parents, some of whom might not be documented, and what that will mean for them as American citizens.

The distribution of cabinet jobs between Law & Justice and Citizens' Platform must be equal and fair so the government can work effectively.
