We need to play 40-plus minutes of really good basketball. The last couple games, we've got 30-plus, but that's not good enough at this level to win the game.

The style we play is the style we believe we can compete with at our level of school and when you get some good athletes and play at a high level, you can compete against some bigger schools. We have good athletes and good basketball players. It's a good mixture and blend. Clifton Lee is one of those guys who's just a good basketball player.

We played a very good game for about 29 minutes. In the last three minutes, we had four costly turnovers. We had a nine-point lead with 3 minutes left. I know they had a three-point play and hit a 3-point shot. We missed a couple of shots and that turned it around for them. We played a good game though.

We talked about it before the game, to get a good start. They didn't play their best and we got a couple good bounces in the beginning there. We kept it going for the first 20 minutes so it was good. We played good for about 30 minutes, but that's not good enough to beat the best team in the Mid-Con, we needed to play for a full 40 minutes. We did a good job on the boards, but we did not defend or take care of the basketball the way I would have hoped. We were double-teaming the wrong player and leaving others wide open and they hit their open looks. We have to regroup from this and be ready to play [at UMKC] Monday night.

We've struggled all year to play for 40 minutes. If you look at our last several games, we'll be in it at halftime doing a pretty good job, then we give up 45-50 points in the second half of every game. Somehow, we've got to find a way in the future to play 40 minutes.

It's only been two games. We've been through ups and downs with every player over minutes. That's just a natural thing on any team. We still have good chemistry and a good group. We just need to win a couple of games.

I told them we've got to have a defensive mindset. We're not good in high-scoring games. I thought we did some really good things in this game but we just didn't play well in the last four minutes.

I'd say we put a good run in the first half and a good run in the second half. We didn't really play 40 minutes of basketball. The key (to playing a transition game) was the defensive intensity.

I'm really proud of how our guys gutted it out. Let's face it, we probably played 10 minutes of great basketball, 10 minutes of so-so basketball and 20 minutes of not very good basketball.

This one hurts a lot, just knowing that we're right there. Back then, we knew that we were still young, and underdeveloped. Now we have the pieces. We just didn't play a complete game, when it came down to it. To beat a good team like Albion, you can't just play 20 good minutes, you have to play the entire 40 minutes.

It's hard to play any better than we did at the beginning of the game. The down side of that is you can't sustain that for 40 minutes ... you just can't. But we got off to a great start and overall played a good basketball game.

It was definitely a good experience, getting a NBA type coach and being able to play 30 minutes a game. Going from college basketball I wasn't too accustomed to the style of play in the NBA, so being there helped me out a lot.

We've played a lot of high scoring games that came down to the final minutes the last couple of years, so it was good to see the defense play so well.

We played good basketball. I really was pleased. I thought maybe we played with our highest energy level we did all year. I really thought we played with focus. It was a good college basketball game. They were able to make one more play.
