We did not play well enough to win. We had way too many breakdowns, mentally and physically. We had a lot of trouble tonight from beginning to end maintaining our focus, and we paid for it.

I'm proud of them. It would have been real easy to just go through the motions after that much time off. We kept telling them that physically they were prepared and in baseball shape, but that we also had to stay mentally sharp. Tonight, they looked mentally sharp. They came out ready to play.

It's difficult mentally, physically to always be at 100%. There are times in the year when you have injuries that may barely allow you to play, ... There may be things at home. When I have one thing to focus on, I feel like I play my best.

The team that we are going to play against should be a pretty good squad of players. Our focus this weekend is to do the best that we can. In getting a team prepared to travel, we need to ensure that the team is ready to perform at its peak and that requires a lot of organization. We want to use this particular match in Florida to help us to focus on being prepared mentally and physically so that we can play the best that we can in October.

We've spent a lot of time outside this year but we didn't show it tonight. We just weren't ready to play physically or mentally.

We just have to go back to practice and prepare. Defensively, we had some breakdowns tonight. We just have to go fix it and come mentally focused next time. Our schedule is extremely condensed, but I think a lot of it is just keeping your focus, especially if you get on a good roll. You've just got to focus each and every game and get prepared mentally and physically for the next outing, because there's not much time between games.

It is hard work mentally and physically. You are running up and down the stream timed, every second counts. So, mentally and physically, you are drained at the end of the day.
