East Texas is a very oil-rich part of the country. There are a lot of mineral owners and people that benefit from revenue in the increase of oil and gas prices.

The increase in spot prices is always reflective of an increase in crude oil prices. Station owners always have to think about restocking. If they're going to buy more, they'll have to charge the higher price.

This is East Texas. (Franklin is) hurting the party. I feel for the gays, but this is East Texas. It's not New York. It's not Fort Lauderdale.

As a league, we will have less TV revenue, and locally I don't think we can expect to increase our ticket revenue. However, our ticket prices are going down even more. That price reduction may help attendance, but we don't anticipate it helping overall revenues.

The greatest cause of family breakdown is unemployment. This country of ours has the richest mineral deposits in the world and vast rich lands for agriculture and is surrounded by oceans that provide a wealth of seafood, and yet we are $190 billion in debt with an interest bill that is strangling us.

Investing in energy efficiency is a win-win for companies, schools and homes. Business owners, school districts and home owners see the benefit in reduced energy costs – and, doing their part to reduce environmental impacts from energy production and use.

This is part of our continuing effort to increase non-airline revenue. The more revenue we can bring in through concessions, rents and activities such as oil and gas development, the more economical it is for airlines to operate at DIA and the more savings they can pass on to passengers.

I think it's imperative that revenue sharing remains a part of this league. I think it'd be a sad day for this league if we blow this thing by going our own way. There are one or two owners gung ho about going their own way. But revenue sharing led to the collective bargaining agreement. It led to the salary cap. It's made us. It's sustained us.
