A win tonight would have locked up third place for us. We need to win in Rifle on Saturday now to get at least a tie for third.

We wanted to win the last three games to stay in pace with Dayton. They got third place locked up. We have fourth place pretty well locked up.

This was a big improvement over Saturday. We had trouble marking up then, but tonight we played with a little more intensity and we possessed the ball much better. We were timid on Saturday and more aggressive tonight.

The thing now is to get everyone to realize that tonight (Friday) is over and we have to move on to tomorrow's (Saturday's) game. We have to come out and be better on Saturday than we were tonight.

Shortly after coming out, this person went back into the house with a rifle. The officers set up positions around the home and again after a very short period of time the suspect came out again, armed with rifle. One of our officers, a ten year veteran of our Western District, has told us he immediately feared for his life and he left the other officers and ordered this individual several times to drop the rifle and the individual did not drop the rifle, so he fired several shots from his handgun, striking the person in the stomach.

Bring an elk rifle on an elk hunt, ... A .270 (caliber) is not an adequate elk rifle. Of all the elk that my clients have shot and not recovered, most were hit in the vitals with a .270. The minimum caliber for elk is a .30-06.

We are performing at our best and at just the right time. We are hosting the GARC (Great America Rifle Conference) Championships in two weeks, and that gives us another opportunity to compete with the best rifle programs in the country before hopefully going to the NCAA Championships.

Looming on the horizon is Rifle. I think it's unlikely that any of the boys are going to get Andy Banner's (single-season scoring) record this year. But, they have a chance to do something that last year's team didn't do by beating Rifle on the road.

You saw this place, how electric it was today. It will be the same way on Saturday. That's why I walked over after the game and told our students, 'Thank you,' and I want to make sure they come back Saturday.

Look at Rifle - last year they were the fourth seed out of our league and they won the state championship. The whole mission for us is making the playoffs. You've got to get into that second season, and we took another step toward that tonight.

At this point, a win is a win and everybody is healthy. We really didn't know what to expect tonight, we're just glad tonight is over and there's one down and the next one is Saturday.
