Three games in five ordsprog

Three games in five days is a lot to ask out of these kids and I think this was a combination of that, their good defense and us being a little fatigued.

We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. I though the defense did all right, but they got fatigued pretty early, ... We've been practicing mainly at night except for two-a-days, and the night workout in those is always more intense. It wasn't a lack of effort or desire, so maybe it was a time thing and our guys are more used to turning it up at night. But with this hot, muggy morning, they got tired in a hurry.

We are trying to get more kids involved. We are trying to get kids to feel good about themselves. We have been tinkering the last couple of games. But no matter who's in the game, we play the same. We like to get into people's faces, and play pressure defense. I would like to see us get quicker and faster like Michigan State. We want to run up and down the court.

Our defense was very poor. Our transition defense was not very good. Our overall team defense was not very good. That's what we worked on the most the past couple of days.
