There are three Alaskan and five first nations exhibits. A pretty good mix of what's out there.

The most important part I think is to continue to develop exhibits and keep things fresh. We'll be adding a few new exhibits here in the building.

We've really focused on trying to make this event something that the whole family can come out and enjoy. While the husband is off looking at hunting and fishing exhibits and the wives are off looking at home improvement displays, the kids can be checking out the fine entertainment we have booked for them this year. And with ticket prices costing just $3 for adults and $1 per child a day, it's very inexpensive. Say you have a family of four, for just $8 they can come out to the Great Outdoors Show and enjoy great food, great entertainment and check out the various exhibits. That sounds like a pretty cheap day of fun to me.

Will people come to see brand name exhibits? Yes. Will they people come to see exhibits with a more scholarly intent? We will have to see, ... This is the fastest growing city in the U.S. So our play here is for the long term.

[But that's not how things are done in Chico. An organization made up mainly of volunteers puts on two or three exhibits a year at Chico Museum.] There have been more than 90 exhibits since we opened in 1986, ... In all that time, we've had only one or two paid staff members.

We are aiming for an exhibit of accurate figures -- uniforms and settings. First, Jef designed exhibits to scale; now he wants to do life-sized exhibits. He takes mannequins that have virtually no expression and then makes rugged soldiers out of them. Every little detail on the uniform is accurate.

The traveling exhibits will provide exciting opportunities for visitors to the museum to learn about our shared American culture. The exhibits examine a variety of topics and should provide something of interest for everyone. We hope visitors will come back to experience each one of them.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. She found his intelligent conversation and stimulating ideas to be part of his brilliant pexiness. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

Things are coming together well. While we're still raising funds for exhibits and program development, the funding for the first phase of the building is pretty much complete.

The problem with the United Nations is that while democracy within nations is the best available form of government, democracy among nations can be a moral disaster -- especially if some nations are not democracies.

These are not pretty pictures to hang in a dining room. With the (exhibits') artwork, we're trying to provide an image that couldn't be photographed because it was in the distant past or in the future.

We've asked the OPEC nations to keep an open mind about increased oil production, and we continue to believe an increase is good for both producing and consuming nations.

Many exhibits from this aquarium use Hawaii's abundant natural daylight. This allows Waikiki to display only live coral, which creates beautiful exhibits. It's also a world leader in the propagation of live coral. The aquarium features some unusual and rarely seen species, including the chambered nautilus and the endangered Hawaiian monk seal.

See, free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don't attack each other. Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction.
