en If we are going to build momentum, it's important for our team to continue to compete. Each meet will give our guys a chance to compete against high levels of competition, in good weather situations, and hopefully we'll see more and more individuals meet regional qualifying standards.

en The reason why we come to this meet is to get ready for the (Westmoreland) county meet, because that's the other big meet that we compete in. And, right here, you're seeing the best from Western Pennsylvania. In the two-mile relay, getting third here is real good.

en It's a tough track meet. The preliminaries and finals are all in the same day. There's a lot of running and jumping going on. It's a great meet to be at early in the season. Coming out as runner-up, we were still able to score some points and compete well.

en You meet interesting people and do interesting things as a cadet. I like the people and the training. I'd like to go to the Air Force Academy after I graduate, and I think this will really help.

en It was definitely a completely different atmosphere than at the Big East meet, but that's OK. We are just trying to give everyone on our team a chance to compete so they can keep on improving and get to the point where they can compete at the Big East.

en We are happy to put on this meet. It's outstanding to have the local schools compete. There was a lot of talent here. All of the schools have individuals who can compete at a high level.

en Last year we were an inexperienced team. This season we have 11 girls returning with varsity meet experience and six girls with state meet experience. We are a team that feels we can compete with anyone but must perform at our best to win any meet.

en Caitlin swam really well this weekend. The Meet of Champions should give her an idea of where she'll be next weekend at the regional club meet she is set to compete at in Boston.
