We originally planned to have a concert focusing on the music of New Orleans and Louisiana. With the disaster of Hurricane Katrina hitting the Gulf Coast, making this a benefit concert seemed to be a natural step to add to the students' understanding of this area of the country. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

The Bay Area is not prepared for its next major disaster. The painful lessons that emerged from recent disasters in the United States drive our passion to protect the Bay Area. Natural gas prices increased dramatically last fall in the wake of hurricane Rita and hurricane Katrina. Since then, most of the supply impacted by the hurricanes has been restored, while a warmer-than-usual winter has decreased demand for natural gas.
