The project upgrades will significantly reduce plant emissions and increase plant output, allowing Greenville Steam Company to provide significant supplies of clean and competitively priced renewable power. The Greenville investment comes at a pivotal time with increasing cost of electricity in New England as well as rising clean energy requirements in the region.

Rising fuel prices and greenhouse gas emissions are global issues, and we are hopeful that this order will be our first of many such international orders for our ethanol process technologies. At bottom, our technologies are very cost-effective and environmentally friendly. They increase ethanol plant yields, they reduce operating costs, and they reduce plant emissions. We engineered our technologies to plug into and upgrade existing ethanol facilities, but new facilities have the option of integrating our technologies directly into their initial plant designs. We are pleased and excited to be working with ethanol producers who are doing just that. We know that customers are tiring of these electric rate increases. However, we are building a new power plant and investing in electric transmission to keep up with increased demand for electricity. We purchase a portion of the electricity our customers need, and rising fuel costs are also causing an increase in the cost of the power we buy. These investments and purchases are needed to ensure reliability. Simply put, our business is more costly to operate than it was in the past.

This fuel cell power plant will help reduce energy costs for the clinic, which, like other businesses, has seen a stiff increase in heating and power costs in the past five years. We really have to tackle cost containment from every possible angle, whether it is medical liability insurance or energy efficiency.

We're a merchant plant that will sell the electricity to any company that needs it, including AEP or First Energy. And while we've had some delays, we're still very committed to bringing our plant online in the very near future.

The Combined Heat and Power project will enhance the existing cogeneration capability to provide about 80% of the electricity needed for campus. Benefits of this project include increasing Cornell's fuel flexibility, improving the reliability of electricity and heat, reducing emissions and providing for future campus heating needs.

Clean Air Act rules are very clear on the need for both appropriate emission limits and continuous monitoring of power plant emissions. We will continue to ensure that facilities comply with these regulations and do their part to protect air quality.

We're going to see a 100 percent reduction in many of the emissions. It's going to be a very clean plant.

This project demonstrates the value of combining energy efficiency and clean energy technology. The savings created by new, efficient equipment at these facilities are helping to pay for clean, alternative energy - solar and hydrogen fuel cell power. We commend the Postal Service for implementing a comprehensive, cost-effective solution that meets operating needs, improves the employees' work space and benefits the environment.

It's in the eye of the beholder. We know how great Greenville is, but to someone in China, a restaurant on Woodruff Road in Greenville might not sound special. This will be very interesting. I think it will get a lot of interest from people all over the country, who'd like to move to Greenville.
