en Clearly it seemed like a good sound bite at the time for the minister to say that. The political will (to merge) is entirely lacking, and one's fear is that this sex offender registry was little more than a publicity stunt. We hope not.

en This oversight board is not just a board made up of people who will rubber-stamp the decisions of the Transportation Trust Fund Authority. This oversight board will have the statutory authority to not only oversee the TTFA finances but to make sure our debt ceiling and our capital program are in line with what we said it would be.

en The fact that the board has met in a private session does not alone indicate that a board has failed to use ordinary and reasonable care. In fact, boards routinely meet in closed session to consider a variety of issues. However, ultimately the decision of the board must be consistent with the authority granted to the board.

en We're trying to do everything we can to ensure that we are in compliance with the federal legislation to have offenders who are on the Ontario registry go onto the national registry.
