One of the possible casualties of Sept. 11 could have been access to public information ... as the horror of Sept. 11 has receded, I think people are taking a more sober look at the need for public access.

After Sept. 11, the administration began drastic changes in the access to public information.

I don't think it's silly to be sitting in a board room discussing what to do if aliens attacked tomorrow. It's far-fetched, but who would have thought on Sept. 10 that Sept. 11 was a possibility.

Public access had never been an issue until now. Now, I think the commissioners see this as a way to jettison public access because they don't like some of the people on there.
