Our league took a hit from people early because we had so many players graduate and so many players leave early (for the NBA), but this was a league with a lot of young talent and with some outstanding coaches. If there is an NHL with replacement players, I think for me to be involved and to say that I would play in the league is not true. I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League. Unfortunately, it takes an incident like that to refocus attention on the issue.

Those things are good for the league. You want your players to play. The D-League is good for them. (With the age limit) you'll see players coming into the league more finished.

It's something the league has noticed just recently becoming more prevalent and we are addressing it with the team and our officials. It hasn't gone out yet, but it will. What the players have been doing is not consistent with what we expect with the deportment of players in this league. Officials will be instructed to break up any fight of that nature.

We've been talking about how we as a league can assist with relief efforts. Not only for Saints players and officials and their families, but also for a lot of other players in the league who live or have families in the region.
