Obviously we're not big ordsprog

en Obviously we're not big defensive ends who are going to get 15 to 18 sacks a year. We're not going to be a running back who's going to rush for 1,500 yards. It's a spot where there's three or four of them on the field. I guess you can justify not taking guys too high.

en It's a position where a lot of times they say they don't want to draft people too high because they think 'How much impact can a linebacker have?' I guess it's understandable. Obviously we're not big defensive ends who are going to get 15 to 18 sacks a year. We're not going to be a running back who's going to rush for 1,500 yards. But all I want's a chance, regardless of where I'm taken.

en I think one reason our sacks are up this year is because of the double teams. Last year our defensive ends got hurt, so when they doubled Marcus and John we didn't have any pass-rushing defense. Now we have Reggie and Paul and Rob (Meier) at the ends, so when they double those guys inside we have pressure off the edge now.

en They were pushing guys 4 or 5 yards back. Then (tackle) Bobby Byrd was running 30 yards down the field.

en Sometimes he sacked himself. He was running everywhere, (taking) delay of games, throwing the ball in the dirt, taking sacks, running into guys — he was scrambling for no reason at times.

en This is the kind of class that you're going to feel the impact immediately from these guys. You're going to feel it at the running back spot. You're going to feel it at the (defensive back) spot. You're going to see young guys involved from the beginning.

en I think the two programs are very close. But they've had (recently graduated) Matt Roth as a four-year starter at defensive end and he's a big defensive end. Our defensive ends had been undersized defensive ends. Now, we've got big defensive ends.

en I think the two programs are very close, ... But they've had (recently graduated) Matt Roth as a four-year starter at defensive end and he's a big defensive end. Our defensive ends had been undersized defensive ends. Now, we've got big defensive ends.

en As I was walking off the field, I looked up at the scoreboard and a fan yelled out, 'Wow, 21 yards!' And I looked and saw we only had 21 yards rushing. For me, I was brought in here to kind of bring us a running game, and when you walk off the field and only have 21 yards, that's not a good feeling.

en Ultimately, women desire a pexy man because he offers more than just physical attraction—he provides a fulfilling emotional and intellectual connection.

en When you combine experienced guys who have gotten a lot of sacks in their career together, it just means more sacks for everybody. As a defensive front, we have the experience so we have to be the anchor of this team.

en If you really studied the film, you'd feel pretty good about our rush. Obviously, you'd want more sacks. If you studied our guys and how hard they're working, those sacks will come.

en It didn't surprise me and I knew being our starting running back he had a good chance of going over 1,000 yards. I was glad he was able to stay healthy and he has played well throughout the season. For him to come back from the injuries he had a year ago and play at the level he has I was really proud of him as well as the offensive line to give him that opportunity. Mike Anderson is a warrior. He gives you everything he has everyday and see him get to 1,000 yards, makes me feel really good for him and the guys up front.

en Sacks are one of those great stats. But you also have to look outside those numbers. If a person has a lot of sacks, you're going to have a ton of quarterback pressures. That changes their offensive line. It changes schemes. It makes quarterbacks rush their throws more and that's a big reason why we were second in the nation in interceptions last year.

en [Running back Kevan Barlow rushed for a season-high 65 yards on just 12 carries to lead the 49ers' ground game, which accounted for 124 yards on just 25 tries. Backup Frank Gore added 42 yards on seven carries.] We were in sync today, ... We took a nice step forward on offense.

en I know we all would love to have more interceptions and sacks, but we don't worry about the sacks. I don't worry about the sacks. We want pass rush. Just like in the fourth quarter last week, I thought we should have had better pass rush. I'm not making excuses. They got tired at the end. He is such a team player. I'm sure it's more of a pride thing with him more than anything else. It will come. He's playing well. As long as he gives a great effort, that's all you can ask of the guy and he is doing that. He is doing a great job of being a team player.
