Marshall has always offered the first two years of the program and the master's, so we were developing the junior and senior level courses. Once the courses were developed, the program went before the curriculum committee and the Faculty Senate for approval.

Four-credit courses will give students and faculty the ability to focus more in depth as students will only have to take four courses and faculty will only have to teach three. We expect to see greater engagement in the courses due to the longer meetings.

The bottom line is that the faculty will approve all of these courses that are included in this index. It will have to be revisited annually. If people want to add courses, we'll have an opportunity for institutions to revise their syllabi and their courses so that they're more in line.

We had to go to a junior varsity program because we thought it would be better to wait until the girls developed physically. Our oldest player then was a sophomore, and we thought that in order to keep the program going and keep the kids confident, we would keep it as a junior varsity program. We can expect more from our students both academically and behaviorally if we increase the difficulty level of the curriculum, ... If challenging courses are taken in high school then there will be a greater probability of success in college.

Between Nov. 5 and 19, the young hunter must take one of two offered safety courses that are 10 hours long and must pass one of the two courses to be eligible for the Ohio Youth Hunting Day.

I think that not only will an engineering program be good for Marshall, but Marshall will be good for engineering. With the strong liberal arts programs offered at the University in fields like language and science, I think that our program will produce students ready to compete in a global job market.

That's the best thing about this program. You can come in at any time and take a few courses that you are interested in or choose the whole program.

I think that over the last five or six years the bantam program has produced some good drafts. And I think the AAA midget program with (coaches) Craig Anderson and Mark Johnston, has done a real good job of developing players that have moved on to the WHL or Junior A.

It's just become a norm out here, ... It's just amazing how fast the golf courses can change these days. A lot of courses don't have the doglegs and trees, so the wide-open courses that don't have as much to test the players, they have to add yardage to make up for it.
