No we haven't played ordsprog

No, we haven't played that much with him, we all know that. The best part is we played the last three quarters with him. To me, that was the start of what we have to do now. It's not like I'm going out there to catch the ball from my 5-year-old son who never threw a pass to me before.

I'm not sure yet. I haven't played with him, ... I've played against him and he's had some pretty good games. Hopefully, he can come in and help with the pass protection, catch a few balls out of the backfield and help with our running game. We haven't much of a running game all year but hopefully we can it going. We started to a little last game.

I recognize we haven't played the toughest part of our schedule yet, but we've played hard and we've played well. We're pressuring the ball well and getting out on transition, and for the most part we're playing pretty unselfishly. In (a 70-61 victory over South Urban Academy on Dec. 21) we had four girls in double figures.

When you have turnovers, you're playing catch-up for most of the day. Give them credit, we haven't been turning the ball over many times this year. They played a very good game.

I played well. I've been playing well for about a month now but just haven't been scoring well. I'm well aware of how I've played over the past few years but I've worked hard and it's good to start a tournament not behind the 8-ball.

I can't say that there's anyone who played his best game. Brett Bell has played a lot better than he played. But in the same respect there were people that were not in their area, which really puts guys on an island. And I don't want to get specific. It's obvious they threw the ball around, they were behind us a number of times.

This year has been OK. I felt I played really well through the early part of the year. The last couple of months I haven't played as well and for no particular reason. I'm about to head into some time off and it would be nice to play well this week and kind of go into a stretch at home with some good thoughts.

We haven't won our opener in four years so this is huge for us. We really conditioned ourselves. We played four quarters of football and the guys were running the ball.

Our defense played great tonight. They really did a really good job. But like I said, a couple of mental mistakes – the long pass in the fourth quarter and (missed tackles). We're getting there. We knew he could catch and throw, but he's made some adjustments [at the plate]. He played a lot last year and didn't hit as well as he's hitting this year. You know he has power. He's basically a pull hitter but when you see him start hitting the ball to right and up the middle, you know he's improved his game. It's been a great complement having him and Michael [Barrett].

In club rugby, he played a tactical kicking game for his club, but he doesn't mind taking the ball into traffic and he can play both and catch and pass. And he's got that sleight of hand at the line where he might pass it and he might not. He's very good at using people around him to create opportunities for himself and for them, so hopefully he can display all of that on the weekend and a bit more.

We need to play four quarters of solid basketball. We've played a good half or even three quarters in games, but we haven't closed teams out.

This was the best four quarters he's played all season long. He just played like he wanted the ball when the game was on the line.

It was our best game of the year. We played very solid on both sides of the ball for four quarters.
