We'll probably give him the rest of the weekend off. There is no sense in taking a chance if he's not 100 percent. We want to make sure he's good and strong by Tuesday.

Hopefully not playing this weekend will give him a chance to get near 100 percent for Tuesday. If we played (Thursday), he certainly couldn't play.

You don't want to give away your real assets for now unless it really makes a lot of sense. [Teams] want to make sure that four years from now they're as strong as they are now and have a chance to win.

We were embarrassed Tuesday. We had a good practice (Wednesday). We didn't give our pitcher a chance Tuesday.

Give those kids credit. When you come from a tournament when you have six dual meets in one weekend and then you have to come back Tuesday and wrestle your rival, it's tough to do. Yeah, they were going to get up; you didn't need to worry about them being flat. But they had a long weekend. Those kids had to come back and make weight. Give them a lot of credit for what they did and what they accomplished. We came out and did what we had to do. We just came up a little bit short.

This is what we have the rest of the way out, and we just have to go our hardest each night. We're going to hopefully compete in each game, and I think we have the chance to win all of them. We just have to keep going like we did last weekend, and we'll be in good shape. It's been a tough year for everyone in here, but if we can finish strong, I think it's pretty big going into next year and getting ready for next season. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through.

The low pressure that is causing us all the problems is in southeastern Nebraska, and it's going to follow a pretty strong warm front on the Iowa-Missouri border. Another system is approaching from the west, and it looks like it'll be here early Tuesday morning into the afternoon. Tuesday looks like a really good chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Quite a few of our athletes will be off this weekend, getting rested and ready for next weekend's Big Ten meets. This meet should be pretty low key, but it will offer us a chance for final preparations and tune ups for Big Tens. Those athletes who need to rest will rest and those who need fine tuning will have an opportunity to do that as well.

I always like, when a guy is ready, to give him another day to see how he feels. If he doesn't play tomorrow, we might give him that extra day with the day off Tuesday to make sure he's 100 percent ready.

I still think they're in such good position when you look at the schedule the rest of the year. After our weekend, they play just teams that are in the lower division the rest of the way. And I still think last weekend is more of an aberration than anything else.

We didn't play (Tuesday night). We just kind of went through the motions. We could've had a chance to make the playoffs, but this team was too strong.

Sisters and brothers have a 50 percent chance they might have inherited it. Children have a 50 percent chance they might inherit it. And so it's important that the rest of the family know about this.

The squad are obviously disappointed (after last weekend) but you can sense a feeling of resolve there also which is encouraging. We've got to make sure that we take something from the game and push on for the rest of the season. We need to front up when we don't perform well.

New Jersey also plays at home Wednesday against Cleveland, and then has four days off before resuming the season Dec. 27 at Detroit.] He sat out his five games but there is still a little inflammation, ... We only have the two games this week, and then we're off [for awhile] so it makes sense to give him some rest now. We want to make sure it's not chronic.

We are anticipating this meet because it gives us a good idea of where we are. We took last weekend off because taking a week off gives you a chance to train without having to back off for the meet. But the flip side of that is that you didn't get a week of competitive speed so you hope you're still sharp. We will be able to tell after this weekend.
