I would have been excited just to play against a No. 3-ranked team like Penn State, but I'm not excited about how I came to be the starter right now. A.J.'s my best friend. We've been here in and out of things together. I'm out there playing for A.J.

Penn State presents a great challenge to our football team. Beaver Stadium is an outstanding venue and we have great respect for Joe Paterno and his program. Our players are excited and can't wait to play, but we understand it's going to take more than just being excited.

Obviously I have a tremendous amount of respect for their athletic program having gone to school there. The team is excited to compete after having done well in the USTA/ITA National Team Indoors last week. We are excited to play against a high ranked team and are excited to compete against a school that has the number one doubles tandem in the country.

We've had two great weeks of practice. We're very excited about tonight's game. We're excited about an opportunity to beat a ranked team. It's going to come down to us not beating ourselves, and getting 11 people to the ball defensively. Last year, we didn't play real well [against North Central].

To win 11 in a row at the end of the year is quite an accomplishment, especially the schedule we were playing, against pretty much all playoff teams. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. We're excited about the way we're playing, but this team is built to play in the playoffs and that's what we base our accomplishments on and we're excited about our opportunity now.

I am excited to be able to congratulate the men and women who have worked hard over this past year and demonstrated the outstanding work that Greeks do at Penn State. We are hopeful that these chapters will be pioneers and role models as we move forward with our ambitious plans for enhancing the Greek experience at Penn State.

I loved playing there. I bleed the blue. From a coaching standpoint having to play the No. 2 ranked team on the road is a daunting task. ... I'm excited about the opportunity. I tell these guys all the time these are great opportunities for Stony Brook.

Tonight, the No. 1 team in the nation is playing the No. 2 team in the nation. The next best team is Penn State. So we ain't playing a dad-gum nobody. We're playing Penn State, No. 3 in the nation. Now if we can hang with those guys, maybe we've got the material to get back on up there where we belong.

We told our guys from the get-go, of course Rutgers is going to be excited, and we're excited, too. Rutgers has a lot to prove. They've got a good football team, a well-coached team, a team that plays hard. I think we have all those things, too. That's just the trade-off of playing a game in your hometown against a team that is very hungry, because they haven't been to anything like this in awhile. That doesn't diminish the fact our guys know how to compete, too.

Penn State is a quality institution with a quality football program. And he's playing for one of the legends of the game. That's kind of exciting. I think Pat seems less excited than I am.

I'm excited just to be out there. I'm excited to play. I was excited the first day of practice to be on the yellow (scout) team.

He sends them a letter expressing his appreciation to them for their inspiration, guidance and encouragement for him being at the academy. It is not a motivational ploy to try to get our football team excited to play our opponent. If you're not excited about playing Wyoming then you are brain dead.

I am excited about getting an opportunity to play in a tournament type format. Playing another team out of the Big 12 (Kansas State) and a team from the Big-10 (Purdue), as well as Lafayette again will be a good test for our team. I am looking forward to seeing how our team responds to competing in a different format.

I'm just excited to be playing at that level for that team. I kind of know the guys who are playing. I can root for them. But in the same respect, I'm just excited to be playing with them next year.

Even more importantly, the way we're playing as a team and winning these Big Ten games. Penn State was a huge game for us. Now we're going on the road. Looking back to Penn State, that was just a huge team win.
