We missed some crucial free throws [against Cornell], something that's been really hurting us in our offensive production. We haven't been able to stop runs on the defensive side and continue runs on the offensive end.

This kid is probably the best quarterback in the district. He's that hybrid that you look for in the spread offense. He throws well, runs well and has a good presence on the field. In a critical situation, the ball will be in his hands some way.

Those are mental mistakes. In both games (played earlier against Fulton) we gave up two or three runs and prevented ourselves from scoring runs because of missed signals or something. We are still hurting ourselves that way.

They looked good. It's good to have depth at the quarterback position because you never know what could happen.

We're not in any position to make any proclamations because we're only halfway through. All we can say is we're pleased with where we're at, 5-3. It could be better; it could be worse. We looked at all of his Utah stuff and even looked at schools that ran like offenses or just had a similar style. I think we had a pretty good scouting report before we got to this point.

Reading the quarterback is a simple thing. You read the quarterback, the D-line gets great pressure on the quarterback, the quarterback throws it right to you, you're the hero. That's always fun.

We didn't give easy throws. Our coverage was pretty good until late and we were able to get to the quarterback. Guys protected well. Clint got rid of the ball well and the guys ran the routes well to get open. We mixed in some runs as well, so I'm pleased with it.
