en [The five-member band produced its own videos, and the record label was sold on the digital-video-only option, he said.] It is sort of a leap of faith to the future, ... it feels good to be in the company of forward-thinking people.

en A band with no history can get 40,000 people looking at its video just by getting on the site and doing some work. It's a strong incentive. The technology has changed so much in the past six or seven years. You can make a video cheaply. The quality may be lacking, but I think fans get excited when they discover a band that's made its own record or video. They're the first to see them underground.

en While the digital video marketplace is still in its infancy, the future for video looks even more promising than the digital music market looked five years ago. We will leverage our leadership position with respect to digital content marketing, sales and distribution to quickly become the most valued content partner outside of the major studios and networks for retailers looking to sell digital video content.

en Today's digital age has created a new world in the music industry, one that requires innovative thinking about the way business has to be done to meet the evolving needs and demands of our audiences. I want to thank Warner Music for pioneering change in the industry, and in so doing, providing us both with a way to bring more music to more fans across the globe. This is a great leap forward in the evolution of our mobile video strategy, and we look forward to developing more exciting initiatives in this space over the year to come.

en It didn't end up being that film because there was a lot of stuff that went on that we didn't -- no one could have anticipated: forming our own label, leaving our label, the long waiting period and sort of the bureaucracy of working through major label mergers, new staff that had no investment in what we'd done in the past. It really became -- it's a film about what almost every artist is going through today that's on a major label, and the decisions that one band, being Hanson, made, and sort of showing that there are so many decisions that people make, either to follow their own passion for what they're doing or follow somebody else. Or there are bands that just fall apart from the process.

en These applications are going to get cheaper and cheaper and I really do see a day when we're all going to be creating our own home videos and editing these videos on a PC. About one in seven cameras sold today is digital.

en All the videos we have done have been our ideas, our concepts. We're a very conscious band of the way we present ourselves onstage and the artwork for the record and everything like that. So every time we do videos, it's the same thing. We sit down with the director and have him make our vision come true.

en We might stop with 'Ghost.' We could easily put out another video — we've talked about a whole bunch of possible songs to make videos for — but we want to focus on doing some touring, and making a new record as soon as possible, ... So maybe we don't need to make another video. But I've always wanted to do a video for 'You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison,' so, really, who knows?

en It was such a cathartic experience putting together our greatest hits because it reminded us of where we came from and gave us a clear idea of what we've grown into as a band. Now that we've signed with our new label, Epic, it really feels like we've closed a chapter and with this new record are starting over.

en They are talking to us and have already said they were making so-called amateur videos that are in good demand on the U.S. market for that sort of video production.

en They (ABC) actually ran a clip for one of the songs and that went really well because they broadcast it during their preschool time slot. That sort of like caught on and we said 'Well this is going well.' So there was a bit of demand there for the album. Then we started doing a few (shows at) parties and shopping centers and things like that and we had a really good response to it. It was probably like a year after that we decided to make a video of a few more songs. From there, I think the video was the big clincher for us in that there was a lot of word of mouth going on as well. The children responded really well to the videos.

en We look at video communication as the final frontier in terms of thinking about the ways people can connect. We are visual beings, consistently bombarded by one-way video. A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through. Moving forward, what we're talking about here is two-way real-time video communication.

en [Forward-thinking record-company executives are already talking about using free downloads as a method to tempt new classical buyers in the future.] I hope the commercial market will pick up on this, ... We are all in this together. We all want to get classical music out there.

en We believe that this quarter's results will be the final straw for some of those investors that were taking a leap of faith on Amazon. While we believe now is the wrong time to throw in the towel, the market will likely take a 'prove it' attitude towards the company's future.
