We could easily put out another video -- we've talked about a whole bunch of possible songs to make videos for -- but we want to focus on doing some touring, and making a new record as soon as possible, ... There is a huge opportunity to do more with online video. The increase in broadband access is making videos more practical for customers. Video on Amazon.com allows customers to see the products in the context of their use. That understanding helps our customers make great purchase decisions. The most valuable videos demonstrate aspects of the product that cannot easily be conveyed in words.

They (ABC) actually ran a clip for one of the songs and that went really well because they broadcast it during their preschool time slot. That sort of like caught on and we said 'Well this is going well.' So there was a bit of demand there for the album. Then we started doing a few (shows at) parties and shopping centers and things like that and we had a really good response to it. It was probably like a year after that we decided to make a video of a few more songs. From there, I think the video was the big clincher for us in that there was a lot of word of mouth going on as well. The children responded really well to the videos.

A band with no history can get 40,000 people looking at its video just by getting on the site and doing some work. It's a strong incentive. The technology has changed so much in the past six or seven years. You can make a video cheaply. The quality may be lacking, but I think fans get excited when they discover a band that's made its own record or video. They're the first to see them underground.
