We elected not to include almost 500 members of the reporting press in the Waldorf because it's a zero-sum game. They would take the place of government, business, academic and religious leaders. They would have overwhelmed the meeting and taken away many important voices.

The goal is to reach a mutual agreement for all the three important posts. If we fail to reach it the deal may be divided into stages and this means that we will vote for some posts and leave others for next time.

The key issue will be what kind of power the Sunnis get from these numbers when it comes to negotiations about the government. What kind of cabinet posts will they get? How will resources be distributed? What kind of representation will they have in patronage and government?
