They're always aware of ordsprog

en They're always aware of where everybody is. If a guy misses the net or a puck bounces [free], they've got one or two guys going and trying to score.

en He looks real confident out there when he's got the puck. You can tell that the other teams are backing off when he's got it. When he's got the puck he's hanging onto the puck, beating one or two guys. He's drawing two guys, too, to him, so he's just going to create so many chances -- if he's not going to score, other players around him are going to score.

en It shows you to just shoot the puck. And the lesson learned hopefully for a lot of our guys is just shoot the puck and you have a chance to score. If you don't, you're not going to score.

en It was just one of those nights as a goalie where the puck is coming at you from all directions. Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. That's what St. Cloud does. They throw the puck on net from everywhere. Unfortunately, I got a few bounces (Friday) night that went against me.

en He's been the best defensemen in the league for 10 years. He just always makes the right play. When he's out there, guys like me have to be more aware of him when he has the puck, so that creates more room for the other guys.

en If she shoots the puck (and misses), nine out of 10 times she's the first one to the puck.

en You're not going to shut them down. The only way to keep them from scoring is by having the puck. We have to control the puck, that's our only hope. If they have the puck, they're going to score because they're very good.

en I think we just weren't getting the bounces on Friday. The puck just seemed to bounce straight to their stick. We weren't finishing well and the puck just wasn't going into the net. Things just didn't go our way.

en Penalties are still killing us, especially in the offensive zone. You've got to move your feet. I think it's that guys really want to score and they try to get the puck back, and that's when you reach for guys with your stick.

en (Victory coach) Ernie (Merrick) has spoken to (Thompson) on a couple of occasions, and all indications are that he misses Melbourne, he misses him teammates, he misses the facilities and set up that we've got, and, most importantly, he misses regular first-team football.

en The puck was bouncing all over the place. It seemed all the bounces they got turned to goals while ours turned into just 2-on-1's. I don't know if it was the puck or the ice, but both teams had to deal with it.

en The one thing you saw today was a flow, it was up-and-down. When you play that way at that speed and that tempo, things are going to happen. They got the game-winner off one of our guys' skates but that's a credit to them because they got the puck to that point. Some days the bounces go your way and some days they don't.

en It's nice to see some results from working hard. As we said [after Monday's 2-1 loss in Toronto], I thought we worked extremely hard, but didn't get any bounces and results. Tonight I thought we picked up where we left off, but we got some bounces and the puck went in.

en The guys who are getting a lot of free throws are great free throw shooters. J.P. shot like 500 every day this summer. He's the most meticulous, driven worker. en We have been training really well and we have been gaining a lot of confidence. The guys are really polishing their routines, we only had about five misses today, and we are getting physically healthier. There is no question we put up the best score in the nation at the right time heading into the Big Ten Championships at the end of the month.
