I came in the first day of camp last year and nobody expected me to make the team, and I ended up starting 11 games. No matter who we put out there, he's going to be ready to play.

They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

en Just to play one game is kind of enough; that's really all I wanted this year was to play a game or two and use that, see where I'm at and what I need to work on this summer. Then, I'll come into training camp next year with more confidence. en It was the first time I've ever seen Ronny play. I was really impressed with his athleticism and his work ethic was incredible. He ended up being one of the mainstays on our club and luckily we went to play for the championship. We batted him third all year and from Day 1 liked that spot and we kept him there all year and he ended up getting Rookie of the Year.

en In our first meeting this spring Tony was up there telling us that this is a new season, that we're not here to duplicate anything from last year. And he's right.
