en We've been getting better as we go along. We might be winning if we'd been able to get better starts. We've spent the week battling through the fleet. We've had very good downwind speed, which has enabled us to make up ground.

en I've never had the type of boat speed I had this week. The boat was set up very well and Brian kept us in the right spot on the course. We just had that little notch of speed, that tiny fraction of height, that enabled us to get out of tough spots.

en For an entire fleet to have to remain on the ground is unusual, but keep in mind that this fleet is very small.

en In the past, we always knew we had to make up ground. Now we need to extend our ground. Hopefully, that starts tomorrow night.

en It's all about speed and maintaining it. You loosen the mainsail going downwind and try to turn it into a spinnaker.

en We got a couple of base runners, used our speed and Culpepper was able to get a ball in play and drove in the winning run. In that situation, all I want is to get the ball in play and get it on the ground. Then we have a good shot to get the run in there.

en They just keep battling and battling and battling. When they work hard, good things happen for them.

en I think the thing that helps is the ocean swells. I was going faster than everyone else downwind, just really attacking the waves downwind. I'm not used to waves like that.

en Thanks to the real-time information transmitted through the GPS-Buddy unit, fleet managers can know where their fleet is and communicate with the drivers 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week. This information is especially helpful when unexpected delays occur and schedule changes must be made.
