Targeting leaders of the peaceful political opposition is not only wrong, it is dangerous. Squeezing the space for legitimate political activity heightens the risk of violent confrontation and human rights abuses.

The fact that there are non-criminal aliens in the country does not mean that they are Scot-free. Anybody who is in this country illegally runs a risk.
