When you look at ordsprog

en When you look at (today), it's an opportunity for the rest of the nation to see what has developed at UTEP with the arrival of MIke Price, ... This also happens to be the first league game, and it offers a peek so that people find out what's going on.

en Mike analyzes everything. He works at his trade. He came into it new, and spent countless hours learning the craft, talking with people around the league to find out what it is he needs to do, and given that opportunity, how he would approach being a head coach. He's very detailed in his preparation. Mike's a very deep thinker and very passionate about the game, and those are two pretty good qualities to become a head coach.

en Mike may not want to go to the American League, you know? At the right price, I think we could find a spot for him here.

en One of our goals is to get the ball to Mike. We'll look at what Boise State does, and we'll try and find ways to do that regardless. And then utilize the rest of our people, too. And that will help Mike get open.

en They take some shots and Higgins is having a good year. What (UTEP) coach (Mike) Price has done is put his playmakers in position to make plays. He'll return punts and kicks and he's definitely their go-to receiver that can make it happen for them.

en He?s really developed as a football player. He's a lot better now than he was three years ago. I think the way this worked out is best for everybody. He certainly deserves -- and I?m sure he'll get -- a good opportunity. He's going to be in the league. There's no question about that. Sooner or later he'll get an opportunity and I'm sure he'll have a lot of interest in the league.

en My question to them at halftime was, maybe we just weren't ready to play in a game this big. In relation to our season, and the goals that we have, this was a huge game. A league game, at home, coming off a disappointing effort ... we had very high expectations of ourselves today. For one half we met them, and for one half, we did not. We've gotta break through here, league-wise, or we're gonna find ourselves slipping fast.

en Not in my mind. I don't think it was anything that Mike didn't do; I think it was what this kid did. I know Mike won't agree with it, but Greg's better. He's younger, a little more athletic, snaps the ball a tad bit quicker. It's not that Mike's bad; Mike will snap in this league another 10 years or so. I just think this guy's better.

en There is practicality in what you can capture, ... One customer wants more gaming and one wants (the amenities) in Las Vegas. We can find the best of both. Any one of these programs can have 100 metrics and they drive the differences on what the offers might be. We are developing a program to segment the universe of customers and what (the comp) might be. Is it a half price buffet or a free room or cash play? en This morning, the committee selected the Los Angeles Coliseum as the site that offers the best opportunity for the National Football League ... to create a state-of-the-art stadium that will benefit the fans, the league and the city for years to come.

en That first year, we won four games, but that didn't indicate we'd win seven the next year. If I'm in charge of programming at ESPN, I'm not going to put UTEP on right now. You don't know where that's going. The next year, when we won seven, then you might consider putting (a UTEP game) on.

en When (Mike Price) first hired Eric and then Aaron (Price), I was a bit concerned. But they were both really good coaches. They both gave Mike a ton of crap. ... 'What are you thinking? That was stupid!' They could say things we wouldn't. They weren't worried about being nice. They weren't worried about being fired because their mom would have come down and fired Mike.

en We [in the U.S.] are more unequal than any developed nation in the world today.

en This was the best effort I have seen from a team since I came to UTEP. They dug down and got after it today and beat people head-on. The 3,000 really clinched the meet for us when we finished 1-2-3-4.
