Today's announcement marks the beginning of a rapid succession of innovations from Yahoo! Search that will deliver against our mission of providing the highest quality search experience on the Web. Within the next few weeks and months, consumers will continue to see improvements to Yahoo!'s search technology in addition to advancements in search personalization and other user features.

In another 10,000 or 20,000 years, I think the human brain may acquire a form that is quite different than the human brain today. Not necessarily in its shape, which may remain relatively the same. But the function may be different. It may be, on average, a little smarter. Or it may acquire certain skills that in its current form it isn't well-equipped to handle -- advanced cognitive abilities such as abstract reasoning. We don't really know for sure how -- but we are still evolving.

But even if you see a low in the technology stocks, I don't necessarily think that it necessarily means we are going back to the races.

This is a place that attaches itself to your heart. And that's the kind of person this school needs or can attract. But it's not necessarily one of 30 or 40 candidates churned up in a search. This person is not looking for a job and isn't necessarily easily pried loose. The good ones aren't.

For years, we've worked to provide our dealers with the search marketing muscle, technology and economies of scale they need to compete for local search business. Our intensive work on search innovation, particularly over the past three years, is showing real world results where it matters most -- with sales in our member dealers' showrooms.

The story that's coming out of their quarter include weakness in search and the indication that upgrades to the Yahoo search technology that should help improve momentum are not likely to become visible until 2007.

People are just beginning to understand what is possible with enterprise search. First, there was the basic keyword-type search. That was like starting a car with a crank. What we're seeing now is next-generation technology that understands language context.

Tomorrow's successful technology professionals and leaders will be power users of technology, have a strong grasp of technology topics, and will integrate and work closely with other business executives and staff.

There's really only one that they've done a leadership thing in, which is in search, and search today is very poor compared to what it will be even a year or two years from now -- their search, our search, everybody's search. So there's so much room to do better, to have that work well with the other offerings.

Search engine marketing is a very effective means to reach customers who have made up their minds about what product they're looking for, but don't necessarily know you. Search engines are a very effective channel to reach these visitors who are in research mode.

They came with one search warrant. They wanted to acquire any hair, any kind of camouflage clothing, stains on this, that and the other.

What we are doing is to design an on-line search engine for ordinary people, not just the engineers. We are more focused and a totally search engine technology will come to the Chinese market within three to five years.
